By car

When travelling to Freiburg from the north or the south, take the A5 autobahn Frankfurt-Basel along the Rhine Valley. The exit “Freiburg Stadtmitte” will direct you into the center of Freiburg if you stay on the autobahn feeder road “Mitte” (B31). You can get to the main train station or the congress venues by taking the same exit: “Konzerthaus Freiburg”, “Hauptbahnhof”. Thereafter, the route to either is well signposted.

Parking at the congress venue: Konzerthaus Freiburg as well as the Novotel offers more than 900 underground parking spaces (subject to a charge). All other car parks and underground garages in the downtown area are also easy to reach from the congress venues. Long-stay parking is possible from seven days on.

By public transport

Once in Freiburg there is an extensive public transport system comprising light trains, trams and busses, making it easy to commute from the main arrival point to your choice of accommodation. The main station in Freiburg (Freiburg Hauptbahnhof) and the Central Bus Terminal are directly opposite the Konzerthaus and Hotel Novotel.

The public transport system makes getting to and from the congress venues and getting around Freiburg very easy – please ask at your hotel for Public Transport Tickets (VAG Tickets – in many cases they offer VAG Tickets free of charge for their guests).
